According to his conditioning trainer Alex Ariza Pacquiao is making a huge mistake in fighting against Matthysse. He added that Matthysse has the same aggressive style as Jeff Horn, combined with a lot of power punches. Ariza thinks that he lacks the quality to help the said senator to win this fight.

Ariza also added that the numbers don’t lie. Pacquio is a 800-1200 punch fighter. Ariza also said that in his last fight Pacquio threw 400 punches only.

Although Matthysse is a aggressive fighter, Pacquiao is not worried about this kind of style, he is more worried that he would not be able to achieve the 100 percent conditioned. He needs to stabilize his stamina, power and strength for him to survive the 12 rounds fight.

To achieve this fight, he is more focused on his punches, footwork and his side-by-side motion movements. His former sparring partner Restituto “Buboy” Fernadez and now his coach adapt the style of his former coach Freddie Roach’s style. Since he personally choose Fernandez as his head coach to this fight.

A lot of boxing analyst said that this will be a close fight and they don’t know the best approach to use for Pacquio to win. Since both fighters are aggressive and motivated to win this fight. They also said that this fight is risky for the pound for pound fighter since Matthysse he is one of the hardest puncher that Pacquiao will encounter.
